I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of your Letter of the 31st Ult forwarding copy of the Memoranda made by Mr. May and which was referred to during the inquiry into the Charges made against me by Mindley; also copy of a Letter from him forwarding the same to you.

Having perused the memoranda I can only say that very little more can be said by me in answer to the "damning proofs" which they contain of my complicity with robbers, murderers, and pirates", which Mr Anstey led the Commission to believe they would have done if produced. I think
